Project: Bed & Bath Remodel

Location: Spring Grove, IL

When the homeowners decided to renovate this bedroom they wanted to make a relaxing retreat that help reduce the sound from inside and outside the room. We used double wall construction and sound control insulation to dampen the sound transmission. This made for a peaceful room that is not disturbed by any storms that blow outside and the rest of the family is not disturbed by the gentle snoring inside.

We added architectural details to the room with a recessed ceiling, built-in cabinetry, and crown molding. The walls are finished in a suede painting technique that provide a soothing texture.

The attached private bath has a beautiful inset cherry vanity and in-floor heating. Just through the bath is the walk-in closet with adjustable shelving and drawers. The closet keeps the audio/visual equipment tucked away from the view of the bedroom.
